The commune's numerous assets are conducive to the development of various forms of tourism and recreation and a stroll in the landscape reserve gives one the opportunity to commune with nature.


THE RECREATION CENTRE

Situated by the water reservoir and surrounded by woods, the centre is 51 hectares in area. With its sandy beach it is a perfect place for sunbathing, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing as well as fishing. The centre includes a camping site with bungalows. To the west of the reservoir is a sports centre with a gym, football pitch, tennis courts and other sports facilities.

     



THE BISON AND DEER ENCLOSURE

          In the nearby woods, within walking distance from the park, is a 24-hectare enclosure where bison are raised. The first animals were brought from stock farms in Białowieża, Pszczyna and Smardzewice in 1977. The herd of white deer, donated by Mr and Mrs Gucwiński from Wrocław ZOO in April 1997, are yet another rarity. The enclosure is part of the Forestry Centre.




ST. JADWIGA'S STONE

Located in the vast forest 2 kilometres from Gołuchów, it is the biggest erratic boulder in Wielkopolska and the sixth biggest in Poland. This grey Scandinavian granite is 3.5 metre in height; 8.5 metres in length; 6.5 metres in width and 22 metres in perimeter. The stone has suffered from breaking. Many popular legends are connected with this monument of nature.

     


THE REHABILITATION CENTRE FOR FARMERS "KRUS"

          The centre, located in the picturesque woods, specialises in the treatment of nervous and kinetic system diseases, rheumatic diseases and spondylopathy. It offers programs to rehabilitate patients after long hospital treatment or those suffering from accident injuries. Visitors have at their disposal sports facilities, where they can play tennis, basketball or volleyball.

HIKING ROUTES

          There are many attractive routes for hikers and cyclists. The routes connect the most popular places in the commune.



AGROTOURISM

          At present several farms in the commune offer accommodation for tourists. Neatly kept premises and an unspoilt natural environment provide an excellent setting to enjoy rural tranquillity. The countryside is a real paradise for children.
